What I received works good for long trips. Takes to much time to set-up for short local trips.

I ordered this product which qualified me for a Super Saver Discount resulting in free S/H. I also ordered the car charger and dashboard mount. On the Order Summary page it lists my items, their total charges and the free S/H. Imagine my surprise when I received email confirmation of the order that had an additional $14 in S/H charges! I checked their “Fine Print” and realized that while my Garmin was free to ship, my other items were not. Those charges SHOULD have been reflected on the order summary page BEFORE I pressed the “Place your order” button. I had no knowledge of the S/H charges until after they had my cc#.It is very scary to think that Amazon could add charges, any amount, WITHOUT approval from me and I would have no knowledge or recourse. It is a unethical practice in my opionin and I will not be shopping here again. There are too many other places who will be upfront with their charges!! I urge you not to shop here again either!

I’m sorry…I’m unable to review this product as it was prchased as a gift for my wife…but I would purchase the 265w next time, as it is the one I should have purchased because of the lifetime real time traffic, as I now understand it…other than that, I am told it works well…

Thanks for the post! GPS reviews are crucial for persons who are investing in GPS systems for the first time and lack sufficient knowledge about these devices. If you spend much time driving in unfamiliar territory, especially if you rent cars in big cities, a good portable GPS makes an amazing difference. You should always make sure that you know about the product well before you purchase any GPS system. One of the best feature is tracking.Tracking is excellent and without noticable lag. besides it quickly notices that you’re off track and recalculates a route quickly.
I bought this machine a couple months ago, and I am using it occasionally. In town, I find it more convenient to look at the Google map (or any) before I leave. I expect it’d be a lot more useful when I go out of town.

I received the Garmin and began using it immediately. It’s worked fabulously to save me time making my way around Detroit and Raleigh to do.

This lense is a great start. Under a hundred dollars for a 1.8 aperture is awesome!
Everyone in my family LOVES this device. Not only does it help them get where they are going, the ability to find food, fuel and points of interest when traveling is invaluable. Even the least technical people in my family can use it which is a huge bonus.
Glad to find the place which has same concept as mine. I will visit daily and hope to talk to you some.
